Cellist Priscilla Lee, a 2005 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient, began studying at age five and made her solo debut in 1998 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. A native of California, Priscilla studied with Ronald Leonard at the Colburn School of Performing Arts and in 1998 went on to the Curtis Institute of Music to study with David Soyer. In 2005, she received a Master of Music degree from the Mannes College of Music where she studied with Timothy Eddy. Upon moving to New York in 2003, Priscilla participated in the "Opening Concert at Zankel Hall" with John Adams and premiered Osvaldo Golijov's "Ayre" with Dawn Upshaw in New York, Boston, London and Paris. She has participated in the festivals of Marlboro, Santa Fe, Seattle, Delaware, St. Denis in Paris, Kingston, Lexington and Taos. Priscilla was a member of the prestigious Lincoln Center’s Chamber Music Society Two for the 2006-2009 seasons. Priscilla is a founding member of piano trio, Trio Cavatina, with violinist Harumi Rhodes and pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute. Having formed in 2005, they have performed in Jordon Hall in Boston, Merkin Hall in NYC, Philadelphia, Florida and Vilnius, Lithuania. They are the first place winners of the 2009 Naumburg Chamber Music Competition.
