Beth Guterman Chu
Violist Beth Guterman began her new post as Principal Violist with the St. Louis Symphony in January of 2013, and has appeared as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician at Carnegie, Alice Tully, Avery Fisher, Wigmore, and Jordan halls. She has performed at the Marlboro Music Festival, Steans Institute at Ravinia, Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, Bard Music Festival, and Festival Montreal, and as guest violist with Trio Cavetina, the Claremont Trio, Boston Artists Ensemble, Andover Chamber Music and continues to perform as a member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Ms. Guterman has recorded on the Deutsche Grammophon, Tzadik, and Naxos labels, and has toured across America, Europe, and Asia. A top prize winner in the Juilliard and Aspen Nakamichi competitions, she received her artist diploma from the New England Conservatory and her bachelor's and master's degrees from The Juilliard School studying with Kim Kashkashian, Masao Kawasaki, and Misha Amory.
